Post Winsdows apps slow>>> BSOD Reply with quote
Hey Everybody (ala Dr. Nick)
WIN xp sp2 w some 3 updates

I've had the damnedest time figuring out why my win apps eventually start to slow and barely crawl along. If BOINC runs hours without interference, I can come back to find one of the following a) when I put my pc into use I find that all my win apps run slower than molasses in January (how Canadian) and very unresponsive to my inputs from mouse or keyboard OR b) I find a BSOD with apparent memory error.
Does anybody have a solution for this? I assume it has something to do with my preferences in BOINC, but perhaps it's something I should be doing in win xp.

Also
I have a CUDA compatible Nvidia card. Would this have anything to do with my problems listed above?

Thanx
Dennis

ONE DAY LATER>>>
I do believe that it is the graphics card, and perhaps the CUDA operation. I am using a RAM controller for my computer ram. And it seems to monitor and free up ram properly and I haven't seen a BSOD since. That leaves the video ram or processing that eventually leads to the slowdown. I'll keeping looking, but any ideas would be appreciated.
